This 8-week training programme is designed to help improve general strength in compound barbell exercises over a 8-week period. This programme is aimed at general populations and is not specific to any sport.
The programme would be ideal for those with beginner to intermediate experience, looking to develop strength. It could also be used as a beginner’s introduction to the sport of powerlifting. Whilst the programme cannot be repeated indefinitely, you will be able to repeat this programme multiple times, just with amendments to the weights lifted, based off new results from each cycle.
The programme itself is made up of 4 training sessions, split in to 2 upper body and 2 lower body sessions. Within the programme, you have a certain amount of freedom in exercise selection / variations of exercises, allowing you to choose the exercises most suitable to your goals and abilities
